I was very excited to book Daniel & Lee’s wedding earlier this year.
It was the first time I was shooting alone at the prestigious Orsett Hall Hotel, and I couldn’t wait to make the most of the beautiful grounds the hotel is set in! To make things even more exciting, the guys looked absolutely stunning in their Boss wedding suits.
Daniel and Lee had decided to say their vows in the chapel in the grounds of Orsett Hall Hotel, which is a stunning purpose-built building, bringing a real sense of occasion tothe wedding ceremony. In fact, Orsett Hall is the only wedding venue in Essex with it’s own chapel!
Lee’s mum arranged all of the flowers for their big day, and she did such a fantastic job. She was telling me on the day how
she had a fridge full of flowers leading up to the wedding day – with no space for food! I am always fascinated to learn more about different aspects of
weddings. I get to see the finished product: all of the ideas and dreams finally playing out on the wedding day. Whereas a florist will be one of the people to put these ideas into practice, to make a couple’s dream day come true. I’m just there to capture it all, and that is a humbling thought. It’s one of my favourite things about wedding photography though, ensuring I capture all of those little details that a couple have spent ages thinking about, changing their minds on and finally making a decision about.
Daniel and Lee had their wedding breakfast in the Gold Room at Orsett Hall, and the whole place was filled with smiling faces from start to end. Just standing in the room I could feel the love all around me (hopefully without sounding too much like a 90s pop song!)
